Registration

All puppies from Alba Acres are registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). This means that Alba Acres has been inspected by the AKC and deemed to meet their standards insuring the quality of your new puppy. At the time of purchase we will provide you the necessary documentation.

Microchip

Each puppy from Alba Acres will be implanted with a Microchip to be used for identification in the event your puppy is lost or stolen. Veterinarians and animal shelters scan for Microchip ID on all new dogs or puppies. We will provide you with the forms to register your puppy with the microchip network.

OFA Heart Certification

At Alba Acres our adult dogs are heart certified with the OFA. The Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) is an association that collates and disseminates information pertaining to orthopedic and genetic diseases in animals. Among these are congenital heart diseases in dogs which are malformations of the heart or great vessels. The lesions characterizing congenital heart defects are present at birth and may develop more fully during perinatal and growth periods. Many congenital heart defects are thought to be genetically transmitted from parents to offspring; however, the exact modes of inheritance have not been precisely determined for all cardiovascular malformations.

Guarantee

Prior to delivery the health of all puppies is examined by our Veterinarian who issues a Certificate of Health in accordance with Florida Statute 828.29 that will be provided to you certifying that each puppy is healthy and ready to meet their new family. As stated in the Puppy Sales Agreement Alba Acres guarantees each puppy to be free of any serious congenital or hereditary disorder that may affect the puppy’s quality of life for a period of one (1) year from the date of sale. The Buyer agrees to have the puppy examined by licensed Veterinarian within seventy two (72) hours of the sale or delivery of the puppy and advise the Alba Acres within forty eight (48) hours of any disorder that the examining Veterinarian deems may affect the puppy’s quality of life. As the Buyer you also have certain additional responsibilities that are spelled out in the Puppy sales Agreement to provide proper care for your puppy.
